![]() ![]() You say you don't have ANY performance faults other than PERHAPS slow starting, SOMETIMES. In your case, there COULD be a fault in the Accelerator Pedal Module, in the VVT Actuator or electric motor, in any of the wiring between those parts and the DME, the ESS, the wiring between the ESS and the DME, and FINALLY a fault in the DME itself (MOST expensive and also MOST statistically unlikely cause). I would suggest using Google to find ANY online references to those "BMW Fault Codes," and trying to understand what any reliable online article suggests causes such a code to be set.Īlthough sometimes a sensor itself can be faulty, resulting in a certain code being set, the purpose for the sensor is to report conditions in a particular system (here, VVT) allowing the DME to set DTCs or Diagnostic Trouble Codes to provide information to the Tech about a fault in the system. Without knowing what sets each code (sensor signals, etc.) I have NO CLUE what the significance of each is, IF ANY. ![]() Do you have ANY printout or service receipt from the shop that states what each of those codes means? Neither is in any documentation I have (Bentley, etc.) which is focused on the 3.0L 6-cyl.
